Putting Green, #2, #3,#17 Hole Locations

As our winter dormancy period continues we are developing some weak turf areas on our greens.  This is mainly due to golfer foot traffic and the turf not growing.

The bottom area of the putting green is one of those areas.  To give the turf a break, we will be cutting only 1 practice putting cup in this section of the green until the turf begins to actively grow.  4 cups will be cut in the top section of the putting green.

On holes 2,3,17 we will be avoiding pin locations in the front section of these greens.  This will minimize the golfer foot traffic and allow for a speedy recovery in the spring.

Winter Cleanup at Flintrock

The flower bed on hole #12 that has been cut back and edged!  We are in the process of doing this to all the beds throughout the course as well as the clubhouse.

The photo below is #12 water crossing.  All the weeds and tall grass have been removed.  The cedar in the background will be removed as well.  It gives this area a nice clean look!
